Teacup is Going Barefoot!

Teacup get his shoes pulled tomorrow! We are very excited - Going Barefoot is one huge step in the right direction towards health & happiness.

He is gaining weight - slowly but surely!

He is up to 1 cup of oats twice a day with full dosages of Equipride and CocoSoya Oil. Along with free-choice grass hay, the feeding program is doing wonders for Teacup. He is looking so much better!

We have not been able to get the equine dentist out, but hope to fit it in this week. Balancing his teeth will be another big step in helping Teacup reach a normal weight.

Will post new pictures of Teacup soon...

Teacup's Arrival at Peace of Heaven Farms!

June 20th

We welcomed home Teacup, our 15 year old Arabian gelding, on Saturday, June 20th.

He came all the way from Boca Raton, Fl to Waterloo, IL... an 18 hour trip!!!

We had expected him to lose a few pounds due to stress from the trailer ride, but as we watched him unload, we were very surprised to see that Teacup was extremely underweight.

After insuring that he had settled in with our other horses, we started discussing our plan of action for Teacup's weight gain program.

June 21st

Teacup has quickly taken over the position of alpha in our small herd of four horses. :)

As far as his weight gain program goes: We have checked his teeth, and they definitely need floated. He has to pack his mouth with hay or grass before he can eat his grain-a major sign of needing his teeth done. We have also decided to gradually introduce oats, EquiPride (AWESOME PRODUCT-We feed it to all our horses), and CocoSoya by Uckele, to Teacup, for his weight gain feed.

With Teacup as thin as he is, we have to introduce any feed gradually, so we don't upset his digestive system. Equipride will act as his overall vitamin & mineral supplement, as well as a probiotic. The CocoSoya oil will be his fat & weight gain supplement.

We gave him one feeding today of:

2 oz. of Oats
1 oz. of Equipride
1 oz. of CocoSoya

Teacup is on his way to health & happiness! :)

Calm Eyes for Fancy's Swollen Eye

Our family had just arrived home from an all-day outing at Greensfelder Park in Pacific, MO, where we had a booth showcasing many of Royal Horse Company's products.

We went out to the pasture to feed the horses, and seen poor Fancy, our 9 year old Paint mare. Her eye was swollen as big as a golf ball, almost completely closed shut, and teary. We immediately got out the Calm Eyes from Calm Coat, and started applying it to the whole outside of her eye. She absolutely loved it, the cool natural eyebright herb in the Calm Eyes must have felt so soothing and wonderful. She sighed and relaxed, moving her head closer like she wanted us to apply it forever.

We went out the next morning to see how it looked. It looked quite a bit better, there was not as many tears coming from her eye. We applied the Calm Eyes to her eye again, and she was so happy and enjoyed it. We knew it was helping, especially since she loved having it applied. The directions on the bottle say to apply it twice a day, so we went out in the evening to apply it again. Her eye looked great - so much better, almost all the way open, and no tears.  We applied it for the 2nd time that day. (3rd time total)

We again went out the next morning to give it an application. It looked completely better! Wow, after only 3 applications! We applied it again, just because we knew she enjoyed it so much, and that it would help any lingering tenderness/swelling.

Royal Horse Company's Conclusion: We were truly amazed with this product! Fancy loved it, we felt at ease knowing it was a natural herb, and it worked!! After only 3-4 applications!!!
